Please Attend StatusCamp Montreal 1, December 18
We are announcing the first StatusCamp unconference in Montreal to be held on December 18, 2009 at Station C from 9 AM until 5 PM. The entire Status.Net crew will be there thick at this event because we are doing a week of planning in Montreal. Come meet everyone! Since this is an unconference, please try to arrive at 10 AM to help set the schedule for the day. Topics for this first StatusCamp will be general from technical discussions to social practices to planning for the Open Source community to discussing trends with usage of Status.Net.
If you have a great idea, or just want to talk shop, please RSVP to this FREE event by sending your name to http://identi.ca/rejon or emailing jon@status.net so we can plan for how much coffee and snacks to provide. This is our first StatusCamp. We will be doing an upcoming StatusCamp San Francisco after the holidays, and encourage anyone interested in hosting their own StatusCamp, to follow our lead in setting up a camp.
If you are interested, please do message http://identi.ca/rejon or email jon@status.net. We will help you get going, and might even be convinced to send out a schwag pack to spread the Status.Net love. What's your StatusNet? The hashtag for this event will be #StatusCampMontreal1 For more information please visit: http://statuscamp.org

I will not be able to attend
I will not be able to attend though I would like to encourage discussion on the Statusnet/identica release process, user communication and issue resolution.
The most recent release was not up to scratch. Not only were issues left unresolved for many days it was unclear what was being officially worked on by StatusNet.
In my opinion, bugs following a large releases is not a big problem as long as the community is kept informed.
Discussions around how this can be improved would be appreciated.
