StatusNet 1.0.0rc1

With the upgrade of our StatusNet cloud sites, including Identi.ca, to the 1.0.0 version of StatusNet, we've come one step closer to a 1.0.0 release. The new version of the software, 1.0.0rc1, is available for download. Please, take it for a test spin and report any issues in our issue tracker.

The installer didn't work and gave me the page at

Ending in the error:
DB Error: unknown error

So I copied the configuration sample and set it up manually, and now I get

The main page appears to work, but the same
DB Error: unknown error
appears where it seems the public timeline should be. I haven't yet tried to register an account or login, but the error appears to be the same as I received when I tried to use the installer, so logging in will likely not solve the problem, and registration will likely not work.

All the previous releases (e.g. v1.0.0beta4) are tagged in the mainline repo in git, but this one isn't. Am I looking in the wrong place?
