He has 10 years of experience supporting high uptime financial data systems for hedge funds, venture capital groups, and private equity firms. Most recently Nate was with Farallon Capital Management, where he served in roles as Senior System Administrator, Head of International Systems, and Head of Systems. When not working for StatusNet, Nate runs a financial services IT consulting firm, AwesomeJar Consulting, in San Francisco, CA. Nate serves as the Director of Operations for StatusNet. |

Christopher Murtagh (@xopher) was the web system architect for McGill University where he architected the server system and was the lead software developer of McGill's custom web publishing system. He founded McLUG (McGill's Linux User Group), and after leaving for freelance consulting specializing in open source software, worked for Terra Soft Solutions (the makers of Yellow Dog Linux) as a sysadmin and package builder. A lover of jazz and avant-garde music, he also has a small record label. Christopher serves StatusNet as senior systems engineer. |
