Does not work

I do not see anywhere within te pro version if the app that allows API to be changed.

Make it work with your own install

It's not mentioned here, but to make it work with your own site, you have to change the base URL.

Create a new account > advanced settings

Base url: It shows twitter.com in gray. Change this to:

"yoursite/api" (minus quotes)

where your site = the URL where you have your instance installed.

Voila.

No advanced settings option

I'm running Twitterific 3.0.2 (Pro version), and do not have an "advanced settings" in the create new account window. I have a form asking for login and password, a "save" button, and a button to go back to the account list.
