It would be nice to have a page listing dents that have been favorited -- I'd rather not get emails, but want to be able to check once in a while. Could give a tally, or just a chronological list of dents and who favorited them...

Should tally them all up for a most popular...

This would require that StatusNet keep track of how many times each dent has been viewed, and would be inaccurate for dents sent out over IM/SMS because those can't be tracked (AFAIK).

1. other advantages of this feature could be:

saves time for user:
I do not have to go each time to my email box + click on the mail telling me: "user added your notice as a favorite"
I stay in the environmant of identica and can enjoy :-)

not sure how the "Popular Notices" on the identica front page are calculated:
but it could also be used to add numbers to: http://identi.ca/favorited ?

2. as mentioned: could you make the list then sortable?
e.g. time of original post, most favorited posts, ...
