But: when sending notice to a @user with non-English characters there is the error on identi.ca/laconica page but not in email receive by @user (Somebody send you a notice on identi.ca... followed by text with non-English characters being displayed correctly...)

I believe I fixed this in 0.8.1. I no longer see this issue on identica.
