Better way to track replies via xmpp

I thoroughly enjoy following identi.ca via xmpp, but one thing I really miss having that other clients have is a replies filter.

Either a command to show the last few replies you received from people or better yet when your jabber client shows you as away, identica holds replies for you until you become available again. At that time, it would show you the replies you missed while you were away.

I think this would be a very beneficial feature for the xmpp users.

There is a "off" and "on" command which however (I guess) will not queue messages during "off" times.
I don't like the idea to not receive messages on "away" as a lot of clients have autoaway. I use "away" a lot to signal "don't expect immediate answer" but like to receive the identi.ca messages during that time.
It would be nice if the messages would be held and queued on "offline" and "do not disturb"
Maybe we could have a parameter to the "on" command like
[[BR]]on xa ("chatty", "away", "extended away")
[[BR]]on away ("chatty", "away", but no "extended away")
[[BR]]on chatty (default? send only in "chatty" mode)

I'm more interested in seeing replies easier thus the reason for this feature request. A command to see your replies or when you come back from away, you only see your replies and not all messages. I follow too many people to have every single message queued while I'm not at my computer.
