No clear way to follow an issue

No clear way to follow an issue

I could be missing something here, but I just commented on an issue and want to receive updates about it. There seems to be two ways to go about it, but both don't seem to work.

The first is to use the RSS feed for the ticket, but this doesn't work because the RSS that is shown on the ticket is the blog for the site. Solution: Either remove the blog for the site from the issue tracker, and replace it with an RSS feed of the issue, OR simply add the RSS feed of the issue to each issue.

The second is the page that says "Subscribe to receive email notifications when an issue for this project is updated." OK, this is more like the norm, but I have three options:
- None
- Own issues
- All issues
None isn't what I want, and I probably don't want updates when all issues are updated, so I chose 'Own,' but I'm unsure what it means. Does it mean issues that I create? Ones that I comment on? Ones that I tag? What? Solution: Fix the text on the "Own issues" selection so it's clear what that means, and if necessary, give more options to the granularity of "Own."

Agreed, this is very confusing and severely limits utility of the tracker.

I will get one or both of these solutions implemented ASAP.

Okay, I have created RSS feeds for updates to individual issues, and added links and info to the Updates section on each issue. I've also provided some clarification on the subscription management page: 'own issues' comprises those you have submitted or updated/commented on; no further granularity is currently available.

Brion, I'll let you close this one or let me know any further changes you might like!

Wow, that was fast, thanks. One suggestion I'll still make is that the Updates section should go down here, near the comments box, not where it is now, under the original bug description.

This bug is pretty short, and even when I was looking for it, I struggled to find the Updates section.

Also there should be a clearer way **within** the issue to follow the issue. I recall posting about this a few months ago, but can't find anything in the tracker. Maybe it was discussed in IRC.

This was fixed as asked in the original issue, right? :)
