Android mobile client fails to load or post statuses

Issue ID:3457
Issue Category:bug
Component:mobile clients
Priority:critical
Status:active
Assigned:Unassigned
Version:1.0

My wife's Android client hangs when loading posts, and attempts to send an update result in the following error:

Runtime Error
Location: [194,0] file:///android_asset/Resources/model/statusnet_asjson_parser.js

Message:
TypeError: Cannot call method "substring" of null (file:///android_asset/Resources/model/statusnet_asjson_parser.js#194_

This occurs on her cloud site as well as my self-hosted site and identi.ca.

She has version 1.04 of the client installed.

Still confirmed on Samsung Galaxy S II, iPhone 3, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
Mustard works for android, but what about an alternative for iPhone/Windows phone? Or even better, why not fix the client. ;)
