It may be possible to get some logs from the sending side if that would help ? what debug information would be useful in tracking these events ?

There are any number of reasons that identi.ca didn't pick it up. If it continues in the future, and there aren't any blog posts or other notifications concerning downtime for the site, please make this issue active again. Marking as irreproducible for now, per issue #3500.

I have the opposite problem. On my hosted/federated instance (tonybaldwin.me/status), I do not receive updates from identi.ca (while identića contacts do receive mine).
I'm using current code from gitorious (pulled yesterday).
I can never find any errors in /var/log/apache2/error.log relevant to this particular issue, so not sure wehre/how to debug. I've posted on the forums. I feel like I don't even have adequate info to report a bug. Problem is on-going for 4 months now. The only time I see "dents" from identi.ca is when another hosted/federated SN contact reposts/shares or replies to them.
