Pagination changes often

I had an issue with pagination when Status.net went to version 1.0 as each day the number of pages I had available kept shrinking. That was explained and it roughly settled around 27 pages down from 50. I logged in to Identi.ca the other day and my timeline page had only one page. It's changed a few times since then and is currently 4 pages long.

I don't think this is normal though so I asked in the #statusnet IRC channel and was asked to file a bug here.
