How to register an account on identi.ca:

1. Visit the registration page and fill in the form with your choice of username and password as well as your email address. You may also include other profile information such as a URL, short bio, and location.

   You must agree to license your identi.ca posts under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License; if not, you will not be able to register. If you do not agree with this license, you must choose another microblogging service.

2. Submit the form.

That's it; you're ready to start posting! You will see a welcome screen with some helpful links. You will also get an email asking you to confirm your email address. Click the link provided in the email (or copy and paste it into your browser) so that you can receive notices from identi.ca about your account.

[edit] OpenID registration

If you already have an OpenID, you can use your existing OpenID to register for identi.ca. Visit the OpenID registration page at [1] to register this way.

0.8.2 implements account deletion. Send and email to admin@identi.ca and we will queue your account for deletion
