StatusNet_0.9.0 integrated "A moderation system that lets site moderators sandbox, silence, or delete uncooperative users." Silencing, Sandboxing and Deletion is accessible from the Moderate button on the right of users' profiles, which drops down to allow you to selection an action to take.

Sandbox

hides users from public timeline but still allows them to post. Good for automated bots that aren't spammers. @evan

Silence

prevents users from posting, but leaves their account otherwise intact, good for leaving the deletion for actual mods.
