[edit] Announcement
Please come out to the first StatusCamp unconference in SF to be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at AwesomeJar from 9 AM until 5 PM. Many of the Status.Net crew will be there including @Evan, @Brion, @Zach, @Nate and myself (@rejon). Come meet us and the many other people who will be in attendance! Since this is an unconference, please try to arrive at 9 AM to help set the schedule for the day. If you come only come over for a few sessions, that is ok too! Topics for this first StatusCamp will be general from technical discussions to micro-blogging standards to general software development practices in usage of Status.Net. If you have a great idea, or just want to talk shop, please RSVP to this FREE event by sending your name to http://identi.ca/rejon or email jon@status.net so that we know how much coffee and snacks we need to get.
StatusCheck at 6 PM
Also note, for all those attending, at 6 PM we will move over to Norton's Vault in SF nearby to have the first big StatusCheck drink meetup. So, if you can't make the day event, head over at 6 PM to do a StatusCheck!
Raise Your Communities Status
This is the first StatusCampSF and is the second StatusCamp after our successful StatusCampMontreal. We want to do more StatusCamps globally and encourage anyone interested in hosting their own StatusCamp. If you are interested, please do message http://identi.ca/rejon or email jon@status.net. I will personally help you get going and will even send you out some shirts and stickers to get you going. You might even get Brion or Evan or myself to your city special delivery for the event.
What's your StatusNet? The hashtag for this event will be #statuscampSF
