Hey StatusNet users, this is Derek from StatusNet Montreal! StatusNet has been very busy this past week with such things as the launch of the latest version, StatusNet 0.9.3, and I am very eager to share all of these details with each and everyone of you!

- There was an article that was published this past Sunday entitled [lifestyle.gadgetwisdom.com/2010/06/27/so-you-want-to-take-control-of-your-microblogging So You Want to Take Control of Your MicroBlogging] in which the author talks about how StatusNet makes your life easier by offering one account that reaches out to tones of people and services, instead of you trying to manage a whole bunch of accounts on your own.
- Last week Brion Vibber (Senior Architect for StatusNet) attended USENIX and was awarded, along with other members of the MediaWiki team, the [www.usenix.org/about/stug.html STUG award].
- StatusNet's own Jon Phillips was in Brussels during the last weekend of May for [www.libregraphicsmeeting.org/2010 Libre Graphics conference]. There he was on a panel about StatusNet and network services.

- StatusNet will be attending the 6th annual Wikimedia Conference Wikimania 2010. This event will take place from July 9th to the 11th in GdaĆsk, Poland. Brion Vibber from StatusNet will be one of the attendees.
- StatusNet will also be attending the [cph2010.drupal.org Drupal Conference 2010] held in Copenhagen from August 24th until the 27th. Among the StatusNet team members attending will be James Walker.
- Also, a reminder that StatusNet will be attending the [federatedsocialweb.net/wiki/Main_Page Federated Social Web Summit 2010] in Portland Oregon! To learn more about this event and StatusNet's role, check out Jon Phillips recent blog post on the event!
