- StatusNet has released some new themes on the Cloud! You can read about this in Evan's recent blog post Four New Themes on the StatusNet Cloud Service.
- StatusNet has been catching up these past couple of weeks with their Google Summer of Code (GSoC) students. So far we have heard from Ruturaj, a student that was working on a way to find your friends on the Federated Social Network. You can read about how Ruturaj's project has been coming along here. The second student that we heard from just recently was Shashi. Shashi was working on people tags. - The second Federated Friday, a list of Evan Prodromou's suggestions of who to subscribe to on StatusNet, was posted just recently.
- Jon Phillips was a speaker at the Future of Web Apps Conference that was held in London this past week. If you are interested in learning more about the conference then take a look at Jon's blog post. Here are his slides from his presentation.

- Identica is officially on the map! Online Communities 2 shows us a map of online communities, with their size representing their daily social activity. If you enlarge the map and scroll down, you can find identica just off the coast of Twitter! Pretty neat!
