how to build the api in a statusnet server.to a new guy, it is hard to find a path.

The path for your server's API is basically "/api" on the end of whereever your server is. So if you installed in the root dir it may be:
http://example.com/ -> http://example.com/api (like http://identi.ca/api)
if you installed in a subdir then you need that subdir too:
http://example.com/mublog/ -> http://example.com/mublog/api/
Note though that if you're not using fancy URLs you might need the index.php in there too. If you see index.php in your URLs on your site, then you'll need to put that in too:
http://example.com/mublog/index.php/ -> http://example.com/mublog/index.php/api
