account deletion via email is a process that i could not find anywhere on my account pages. where do you tell people, they're able to delete their accounts? and why is there no easier process, say "click link, enter password, confirm via email"? i had to google and visit various forums in order to find out. --Amon

Self-deletion of accounts just hasn't been implemented yet; an administrator/moderator needs to do it, either through the web interface or manually on the command line. One of the things we want to make sure gets done before that is a way to back up all your data, so if you delete yourself accidentally you can be recovered! --brion 22:14, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
