FAQ page is broken- (need to tweak rewrite rules or remove MediaWiki 'FAQ' file)
- fixed as of late Sep 09 by removing the file -- but might regress on future upgrades.

- Would it be possible to share accounts with identi.ca in some convenient way?
- (OpenID? Special auth?)
- Ability to act as an OpenID provider is coming in 0.9.x, so we can try that out after we've taken that live.

- Lots of CamelCase pages from old trac wiki still need renaming and cleanup

Might want some more spam protection plugins- (Recaptcha is on but it's not stopping everything.)
- Ok figured this out -- this wiki was still accessible through http://laconi.ca/wiki as well, but with a separate MediaWiki configuration file so it didn't have the captcha plugins active! I've disabled that and set up a redirect, so all hits should now be going through the protected front-end. --brion 22:15, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Skin is missing styling for diffs; local wiki .css not being used so can't patch it in from wiki-admin end. Needs config change or addition to the styles.- Added skins/common/diff.css contents to the StatusNet custom skin style sheet for now; could reconfig a bit to use the right header vars but this is kinda icky. :) --brion 15:17, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Main Page could do better
Are there any pre-agreed on guidelines for organizing information on the Home Page? In its current shape and form it doesn't differ from any other page although it needs to stand out to better introduce the website to visitors.
I suggest making good use of the whole space on the page by using adjacent colorful boxes. Also there should be clear call to action messages about the various tasks users can engage and participate into.
Any thoughts on how to carry improvement of this page on? Simsimt 13:45, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- It appears that these recommendations have been implemented wholesale, but IMHO they're completely ass backwards. A few starting points:
- 1) The Wiki is supposed to be a documentation resource for people using status.net, ie. what's now the "Help" stuff at the bottom. Begging for people to evangelize or contribute to the project is strictly secondary.
- 2) In its present form the wiki appears to cover both identi.ca the site and status.net the software, and the two are used near-interchangeable. The split between the two needs to be made much clearer, quite possibly separated entirely (a ala Wordpress.org vs .com)
- 3) The color scheme makes my eyes bleed. The best Wiki main page I know of [1] -- manages with almost no color, but if you must, try the restful pastels of Wikipedia/Wikitravel instead.
- This advice is worth what you paid for it =) Jpatokal 10:41, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
