Dependability: Performance Review Examples (Rating 1 – 5)

Dependability is a valuable skill in any workplace. Employees who consistently display dependable behavior are reliable, accountable, and committed to fulfilling their responsibilities. Being dependable means that you can be trusted to complete tasks on time, meet project deadlines, and work well both independently and within a team. Employers value dependability because it leads to a more efficient and effective workforce, resulting in better overall performance and productivity.

To determine an employee’s performance review rating for dependability, you should consider several factors such as:

  1. Attendance: How often does the employee show up to work on time and complete their scheduled shifts?
  2. Punctuality: Does the employee arrive on time for meetings and appointments?
  3. Reliability: Can the employee be counted on to complete tasks and meet deadlines consistently?
  4. Initiative: Does the employee take the initiative to complete tasks without being asked or reminded?
  5. Communication: Does the employee communicate effectively with their colleagues and managers, keeping them informed of any potential issues or delays?
  6. Adherence to policies: Does the employee follow company policies and procedures consistently?
  7. Adaptability: How well does the employee adapt to changes in their work environment or responsibilities?

Once you have considered these factors, you can assign a rating based on the employee’s overall performance in each of these areas. For example, if the employee consistently shows up on time, completes tasks on time, communicates effectively, and follows company policies, they may receive a high rating for dependability. However, if the employee frequently misses work, fails to meet deadlines, and does not communicate effectively, they may receive a lower rating.
